Bergen

Now that Scandinavia came to Bruxelles, it's time for Jeannekepis to experience Bergen in Norway (not in Belgium)! One of the most beautiful and cozy places I have been so far. I don't know if it's because we were lucky with the weather or if Norway is trully a magnificent country. We lived in a nice appartment in the center of Nordnes. The street (Ytre Markeveien) was full of little colourful wooden houses.

It is just about enjoying the vue, the nature, drink a hot chocolate in one of the ten thousand cafés and do some exercise (WARNING: Be prepared for some heavy climbing, sore muscles garanteed!).

STOCKHOLM- the heart of Scandinavia

Stockholm aka the heart of Scandinavia. Very different city compared to Copenhagen. I remember my first impression, I was kinda disappointed. Kinda expecting more. But I got time to learn it and to love it! At this time of the year, eventhough snow is melting in Denmark, it is still present in Sweden. I got the opportunity to walk on the ice of Djugårdsbrunnsviken where you normally go by boat to have a tour of the archipelagos. Afterwards, I went to Östermalms Saluhall. There, enjoy delicious quality Swedish foods and others. The atmostphere is quite unique. In the city center, I love to go to Urban Outfitters to experience the theatrical surroundings and the clothes (of course). Let me tell you that this is only a small part of the city I talked about. There is so much more.

PS: Notice the way Swedes park their bikes - amateurs ;)

A new take on sightseeing

When I was riding my bike past Rådhusplassen down town this Saturday, and something caught my eye. It was a group of people on segways. I had to take a closer look and to my excitement it is possible to get a sightseeing tour of the city while riding a segway! This is definitively something I will look into come summer. I will admit that it looks very nerdy, but it must be so much fun doing this whit a group of people you know.
